Approaching the concept of balance as something perceived rather than measured (as in the Measuring Parallels series), the Horizon Line series uses the abstract convention of one line marking where earth and sky meet. The sense of balance here is subjective; which arrangement of space creates the sensation of balanced proportions to the viewer.
